Who is a victim of crime? A victim of a crime is someone who has suffered emotional and/or physical injury as a direct result of crime. This includes a person who has been directly hurt, as well as the child, parent, dependent or spouse of someone who has been killed. Someone who has suffered a loss of or damage to property as a direct result of crime is also a victim.
