The Six Nations Police have one Community Services Officer (CSO) and their primary goal is to build positive relationships with the community as a whole.
The CSO has many duties from handling media relations to co-chairing the Six Nations High Risk Committee, as well as being the School Resource Officer to all schools in the territory.
The CSO is asked to do presentations in the schools, topics which range from Bullying/Cyber Bullying, Online Cyber Safety and Traffic Safety. Human Trafficking and Elder abuse and the rise of the drug culture and organized crime are topics that can be covered for the general community and agencies.
The purpose is to provide as much information as possible to the community for their safety and awareness.
The Community Service Section also employs one Community Services Civilian Coordinator. The primary role is to assist the CSO in community-based programming and initiatives.
